Forbes Ventures Foundation is redefining affordable, low-income housing. We’re a national nonprofit organization that is working to build a more humane world where poverty is alleviated, communities are healthy and all people can develop their full potential.

We are one of the nation’s largest affordable housing organizations. We participate in the development, preservation, management and/or financing of affordable, program-enriched housing across the country. We acquire and renovate existing housing, as well as develop new affordable rental properties.

Needs for an Affordable Housing

Affordable housing has a real impact on family stability and the future success of children. A lack of affordable housing causes undesirable events such as moves, increased need for public assistance and, for far too many, homelessness. What’s more, children in these households are half as likely to be proficient in reading as their peers, and are more likely to drop out of school. Sufficient affordable housing improves the quality of life for all residents and directly contributes to the well-being of our region.

We develop affordable, program-enriched housing for low-and-moderate-income populations throughout the United States.

We provide extended support including health and wellness, financial stability, after-school programs and more.

Community Development

Forbes Venture Foundation offers loans and support to communities and infrastructure projects that create and sustain affordable housing.
